Memphis, TN, April 2023:
Today, the U.S. District Court for the Western District (TN) extended the temporary restraining order against the Tennessee anti-drag law through May 26.
This bigoted anti-drag law, approved by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, was originally set to take effect on April 1 until a 14-day stay was issued before midnight on March 31 by a federal judge. A hearing will be held in May on the matter before the extension is set to expire.
